Who designed Abitacolo sofa?
AtMoMA, some ofRadical Design‘s items were presented as Bruno Munari’sAbitacolo(1971, manufactured byRexite), a modular steel structure with mattress, shelves and containers conceived as an adaptable habitat for the growing child.

Bruno Munari(1907-1998) joined the ‘Second’Italian Futurist movement在意大利为首的Filippo Tommaso Marinettiin the late 1920s. During this period, Munari contributed collages to Italian magazines and created sculptural works, which would unfold in the coming decades including his “useless machines” and his abstract-geometrical works. This sofa was a limited edition postmodern number for the producer, Robots.
